What is the INTRUST Visa Payroll Card?

The INTRUST Visa Payroll Card is a prepaid Visa card that employers load with employees' pay.  Employers contract with INTRUST Bank to offer Visa Payroll Cards to their employees.

 

How can I use the INTRUST Visa Payroll Card?

The INTRUST Visa Payroll Card is used just like any other Visa card to make purchases. Each time the Payroll Card is used, the amount that is spent will automatically be deducted from the balance remaining on the card.

 

Is the INTRUST Visa Payroll Card a credit card?

No, the INTRUST Visa Payroll Card is a prepaid Visa card that is loaded with the pay you have earned.

 

How do I sign up for a Visa Payroll Card?

Your employer has the form necessary to sign up for the Payroll Card.

 

Can I add additional money on my Visa Payroll Card?

No.  Your pay is the only money that will be available on the card.

 

Can I get a card for my spouse?

Yes, you can authorize us to give your spouse a card.  Contact your employer to obtain the form necessary to issue a card to your spouse.

 

Where is the INTRUST Visa Payroll Card accepted?

The INTRUST Visa Payroll Card is accepted everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted.

 

Can I get cash on my Visa Payroll Card?

Yes.  You can take your Visa Payroll Card along with your photo identification to any bank teller and ask for a cash advance.  The teller will swipe the card, authorize the transaction, and give you cash.  You must be able to tell the teller exactly how much cash you want to withdraw.

Additionally, you may use your Visa Payroll Card and PIN to obtain cash at ATMs.  (fees may apply)

 

Does my INTRUST Payroll Card work at gas stations?

Yes, the card works at gas stations, however, at gas stations with a "pay at the pump" capability, the card cannot be authorized directly at the pump. Instead, present the card to the attendant for payment.

 

How will I know how much money is on my Visa Payroll Card?

Your employer will still provide you with a check stub to advise you how much has been loaded on the card each pay period. 

 

How can I check the balance on my Payroll Card?

You can call the number on the back of your card or go online at www.intrustpaycard.com. You may also receive balance information through INTRUST Payroll Card Alerts by texting BAL to 28542.Message and data rates may apply. Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Sprint, Verizon Wireless, MetroPCS, Cricket.Text HELP to 28542 for more information. Text STOP to 28542 to opt-out of the program.

Can I set up Payroll Card alerts?

Yes, you can set up both email and text alerts for your payroll card through www.intrustpaycard.com .You may set up alerts to receive a notification for funds added, a signature transaction, a card not present transaction, an international transaction, or an out-of-state transaction.  Message and data rates may apply. 

 

What do I do if my INTRUST Visa Payroll Card is lost or stolen?

Contact us immediately at 877-296-8472 or 316-383-1199. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  If you notify us promptly and you were not negligent or fraudulent in the handling of your card, you will not be liable for unauthorized transactions on your account.  We will issue you a replacement card and whatever available funds you had will be loaded on the replacement card. 

 

What should I do if I have a dispute with the merchant over a purchase made with my Payroll Card?

You should contact the merchant directly to settle the dispute.

 

What should I do if I think there is an error on a transaction made with my INTRUST Visa Payroll Card?

If you think there is an error involving a transaction made with your Payroll Card such as a purchase you didn't make or an incorrect amount charged to your card, please call us at 800-222-7458 or 316-383-1354, or write us at: INTRUST Card Center, P.O. Box 2121, Wichita, KS 67201.

 

We must hear from you no later than 60 days from the date of the transaction in question. You will need to provide:

-Your name and INTRUST Visa Payroll Card number

-The dollar amount of the suspected error and approximately when the error took place

             -Describe the error and explain, if you can, why you believe there is an error or why you need more information.

 

We will determine whether an error occurred within 10 business days after we hear from you and will correct any error promptly.

 

Can the INTRUST Visa Payroll Card be used at restaurants?

Yes.  It is standard practice in some industries such as restaurants, that the card authorization system will automatically authorize an additional amount to cover the gratuity (usually 20%).  Your card will be declined if it does not cover the authorized amount. The entire authorized amount may remain unavailable for up to 10 days.  However, only the amount you authorize will be deducted from the value of the card.  

 

Can I use the INTRUST Visa Payroll Card for online purchases?

Absolutely. You can use your Visa Payroll Card for purchases everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted,including online.
